About Pau d’Arco Bark

Pau d’Arco is the inner bark of a large South American tree and has been used for generations in traditional herbal systems. Historically, it has appeared in preparations associated with cleansing, resilience, and immune-focused routines, and is often used short-term or seasonally rather than as a daily tonic.

The bark naturally contains a range of plant compounds, including lapachol, as well as trace minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, and zinc, contributing to its long-standing reputation as a supportive and grounding herb.

Because of its dense, woody nature, Pau d’Arco is best suited to decoction-style brewing, producing an earthy infusion that reflects its traditional preparation.

How to Brew

• Decoction (recommended): Simmer 1–2 tsp per cup of water for 15–20 minutes

• Strain and enjoy warm

• Can be gently simmered longer for a stronger, more bitter brew
